Blonde Redhead

Blonde Redhead is an innovative Indie Rock band based out of New York City comprised of Kazu Makino and twin brothers Amedeo & Simone Pace. Makino was born in Kyoto, Japan and was trained on classical piano as a child. Amedeo & Simone Pace were born in Milan, Italy, grew up in Montreal, but later moved to Boston to study jazz. After earning Bachelor’s degrees, they entered the New York underground music scene where they met Kazu Makino, forming the band in 1993.

Barragan, their 9th and latest album, was produced, engineered, and mixed by Drew Brown (Beck, Radiohead, The Books), and recorded at Key Club Recording in Benton Harbor, Michigan and the Magic Shop in New York City.

Blonde Redhead have often been described as an artist’s artist. Using unique song structures and instrumentation to build their hypnotic music.
